Living in 3D podcast welcomes Deb Blum, founder of The Whole Soul Way

We talk about how to know if divorce is the right answer for you, how sometimes staying in the marriage may be the best way to heal and grow and so much more.

This is the first in a series of occasional podcasts featuring guests who have been my teachers along this journey of navigating the huge midlife transitions of divorce and dementia caregiving while not losing myself. In fact, with their guidance I’ve stepped more fully into myself because of these life experiences—choosing a destiny for myself not dictated by circumstances.

To give all subscribers an opportunity to see what these conversations are like, the first three episodes will be available to everyone. After that, the podcasts will become part of the benefits of a paid subscription. While I have been a journalist for over 40 years conducting live audio interviews via a podcast is new (and exciting) territory for me. I know that this loving community will show me grace if my technique has more heart than polish at the outset.

Deb Blum is the founder of The Whole Soul Way, as Deb describes it: “a one-of-a-kind self-coaching program that teaches self-led, high functioning women how to use their internal guidance system to create the soul-aligned success, emotionally fulfilling relationships, happiness, and inner peace they long for without losing their edge or disrupting the life they’ve worked so hard to create.” I joined a live cohort of the program in September 2023 just as I was navigating a divorce and shortly before I unexpectedly became the solo full-time live-in caregiver for my mother with dementia. The in-depth content, practical tools, live coaching and community of compassionate women couldn’t have been better timed to support me at the most challenging time of my life. I did the work—and it was hard work—but I had help every step of the way. That’s why I am so happy to have Deb as my first podcast guest.

In this conversation, we talk about how a woman makes the decision to divorce or stay in a marriage or relationship, what kind of healing and growth is available to us in either scenario, how projection and shadow work help us unpack lifelong patterns that come up in marriage and other intimate relationships, and so much more.

You can find out more about Deb at The Whole Soul Way, on TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook. Here is a free Shadow Work Starter Kit.1

And stay tuned! Upcoming guests include Michelle Andrie, founder of Ageless Move More, a renowned yoga therapist based in Hawaii and author of Heal.Thy Low-Back, and Kristin Pedemonti, a Narrative Therapy Practitioner, Presentation Skills Consultant for the World Bank and recipient of the National Storytelling Network International StoryBridge Award who will talk to us about using the ancient Japanese art of kintsugi to mend what’s broken, and open up possibilities inside of us.

Living in 3D: Divorce, Dementia and Destiny Podcast
A midlife woman navigating gray divorce and dementia caregiving while defining destiny on her own terms. This is not where the story ends. The podcast is where you will find the audio versions of both weekly newsletters for paid subscribers.
