I have to say it again - your writing is absolutely beautiful. You have such a gift and I’m so glad you are sharing your stories with us. I live that you have ordered your moms favorite childhood books to read to her. So thoughtful.
So beautifully written Amy. It reminds me of my mom her last few years. Each day is a treasure, even the painful ones. Thank you for writing about these challenges. ❤️
I am thinking of your mum lots after reading that. I didn't know her very well but the few times we met she was so positive, funny and kind. And I think those genes have definitely been passed down to you. What a wonderful gift.
Your memories of my mom are accurate; she is all those things and they still emerge from time to time. The essence of her is still there, despite this cruel condition. I am grateful for those genes. Now when I go to the library, I feel her with me in spirit.
Another beautiful and poignant writing and one so relatable. I haven't thought of the Bobbsey Twins in years! Thank you for sharing more insight with your mom's journey. I hang onto every morsel as I recognize all too well the progressive events and the wave of emotions that come along with the decline. I am learning to feel grateful for those beautiful moments and I am so inspired by your writings to do more to capture these precious times and memories.
I just adore your writing, Amy. And my musical playlists are growing. I love the song recommendations you leave for us. So poignant.
I believe your mom is still stargazing - alongside her beloved daughters. My mother was also the one who cultivated a love of books and reading in me as a child. I cherished laying in her bed, side by side, flipping through our books together. These stories you share about your mom will endure. 💕
Thank you Allison for reading and for the lovely comment. So glad you enjoy the music, too. Perhaps a future edition will be the shared love of music between Mom and me. I am so glad you also had a love of books instilled by your mother, love the image of you and your mom flipping through books together.

Thank you so much Kathy for sharing that with me. It means so much to me that you find inspiration in what I am sharing.
