The temptation is to bury my head in the sand but I can't quite reconcile that approach with the sense of resposnibility I feel for staying informed and sensitive to what's happening all around us. But gratitude and appreciation for life's small wonders is indeed a great antidote to the constant amplification of misery on the airwaves.
