With RADIANCE as my word of the year for 2026, I will hold onto all that illuminates my path. Even when it's dark and we stumble, a light shines within each of us.
What a lovely long, meaningful post, Amy. I took my time, and really enjoyed stepping into your energy and you know I always feel your RADIANCE, my sweet. I love how you describe moving through your previous words, Manifest, Abundance and Discover.
It's strange, possibly, but I've never really thought about a special word for a year, before this year. Maybe it's because when you and Teneaia came over to my house in Girona and we pulled the oracle cards that I've found myself drawn to this. I've toyed with Frolic!! Which is directly related to Play, in my mind, because how can I write without play? Also, Connect, because I've been so lonely these past three years due to being so isolated by my illness. I really want to connect with more people on Substack this year, in a natural, organic way, just like how I connected with you. And yes, in time I hope to connect more in person, too. Soon! I'm impatient!
What a gift to begin this new year walking beside you as we explore the many facets of RADIANCE! What a glorious word—and so fitting for you! Your essays are consistently packed with soul-nourishing nutrients of in-depth knowledge, personal insights, and intriguing questions for our own self-reflection. I love the way you look back, look forward, and look inward, all while inviting us to do the same. So excited for this latest series, my friend. It’s always a delight to journey alongside you, broadening my horizon as I go.
Jenny, thank you so much for this thoughtful and beautiful reflection, these kind words, for walking this path together with me. I really feel a soul sisterhood with you. I just know one day our paths will cross in real life for that long-awaited hug 🤗
I'm still working on my word for 2026 and I love radiance!! So much yes. Also the practice of living in gratitude and falling in love with the mystery. I've been meditating on love every morning, of opening to love, of pouring love out towards those situations and people I don't understand and the biggest thing I know right now is that love is the answer. xoxox
Jocelyn, thank you for this, for being so much on this same path of bringing in as much love-energy as possible. I appreciate you! I’ll be eager to hear what word you find,💗
It's so good to have journeymates on this path, especially YOU! ❤️ And, drumroll....I took another few minutes to explore what word really captured all the things for me (trust, explore, seek, desire, intuition) and what came to me, which is so great, is _Listen_. It just popped up and felt exactly right. So there's my word for 2026. thanks, Friend. xoxoxo
Love the idea of framing the year with a word of choice! As we know, one's thoughts, intentionally or not, affect behavior thus making the practice a self-fulfilling prophecy. Wishing you the most radiant of years, dear Amy! Looking forward to witnessing your beautiful energy soon again! 💗
Thank you Barbara! Have I inspired you to do the same and look for a word to energize you this year? I look forward to having radiant moments with you in 2026 — including on the beach in Badalona 💗🌴 🏖️
Especially love this: "'I am radiant' is a mantra I intend to repeat each morning, looking into the mirror at this woman, reminding myself I am married to her first. Seeing the brilliance in the different ages and years of her radiance, from childhood to adolescence to adulthood and now elderhood. Knowing that an inner light illuminates our path even in the dark, even as we stumble."
Kristin, thank you! Love that song, and Wonder is a wonderful word, especially for you, as I think of you always so close to childlike awe and wonder in your playfulness. May it be a wondrous year for you!
thank you for taking us through your beautiful process, past words, i especially love the sun card and your serendipitous relationship to it. radiance is a perfect word for you my dear! happy 2026!!
Radiance is the perfect word for you! I love the knowledge you’re sharing about the sutras as well and how they have movement combined! Go Amy!

I love it, Jocelyn. To truly listen — to yourself, others, nature, animals, the world — is an art and a gift. And we need more of it!

My word for 2026 is Wonder. How might I wonder with awe? How might I wonder as in ponder about the opportunities and possibilities?
Wonder is a good word, too. Wandering in wonder... I like that!
Yes, let us wander in wonder! 😀
